For each scenario below, choose the most appropriate answer from the list above. Each option may be used once, more than once or not at all.
1. A 23-year-old medical student with a phobia of commitment notices pain on micturition and a white urethral discharge 4 days after having intercourse with a former girlfriend. He’s treated with single dose 500mg ciprofloxacin.
2. On informing the partner from 1., she admits to an offensive, grey-white vaginal discharge that smells "fishy." Swabs taken at the STD clinic, at which she responsibly attends, shows a mixed flora and clue cells on microscopy.
3. On mentioning the episode to a friend (who was also a former girlfriend), she also decides to get "checked out." Microscopy of her upper vaginal and cervical swabs shows intracellular, Gram-negative diplodocci.
4. A 23-year-old student from south-east London, noted for his lack of general strength and special moves, finds a pack of 100mg Doxycycline in his girlfriend’s handbag. She is on dose 4 of 14, and he has been having regular unprotected intercourse with her for the last month.
5. A 19-year old medical student claims to have had sex 1.5 times in his life. He noticed a burning irritation on his penis immediately after his one penetrative sexual encounter. Over the next week he develops severe tenderness and redness all over his genitals. On questioning by his GP, he remembers his partner having an adherent, curdy discharge over her vulvae.
